A header is the text that goes on the top of each page. In MS Word you can set it to automatically print on each page, along with a variety of other information, like the page number.

The paint brush icon is located at the top of the Microsoft Word document. The icon can be found under the Home header, at the top left of the document.
Double click the header (or footer) to open it for editing, select all (Ctrl + a) Delete. Close the header/footer, save.
