Explain a muscle spasm in terms of recruitment of muscle fibers?
What are the disadvantages of functional structure?
- In the functional structure, functions are all separate, resulting in employees having very little understanding or concern for any area outside of their own functional area. This does not allow for an overall prospective of the company and the company's future. - This separation leads several barriers in communication and overall cooperation and coordination. - Individual focus rather than a company focus - No structure in the way things are run as a company, processes are all separate in each functional area - The functional specialization does not allow managers in that area to have a broad perspective on the company or other specific areas.

An environmental impact is any change to the environment resulting from an organizations functional mission or activities what is an example of an environmental impact of an organiza?

Where do electrical impulses in the heart begin?
In a normal heart, the electrical impulse resulting in depolarization and contraction of the cardiac muscle originates in the sinoatrial (SA) node and propagates through the atria to the atrioventricular (AV) node before moving on to the ventricles. When the electrical impulse for muscle contraction is generated, it travels throughout the muscle of each atrium, causing atrial contraction. the impulse then travels to the atrioventricular (AV) node. according to Medical Assisting- administrative and clinical procedures with anatomy and physiology.

Is there still a difference today between accidentally killings verses involuntary manslaughter How?
So-called "accidental killings" and "involuntary manslaughter" are actually the same thing. Both refer to an offense which results in the death of the victim even though the death was not foreseen or contemplated beforehand. Examples might be (but are not limited to): Speeding or Reckless Driving (resulting in death) - Assault to Rob (which results in death) - Etc.)
Asked in Dieting and Weight Loss
Can weight loss be the cause of a missed period?
I am not a physician, but I will weigh in on this one. The answer is a resounding YES. Not only so, but irregular menses resulting from weight loss is a serious medical issue that has to be addressed immediately. Irregular menses is also an important diagnostic criterion for Anorexia (DSM-IV 307.1). If you suspect that this is happening to you or to someone you know, a physician's help is called for.
Asked in Microbiology, Cell Biology (cytology)
How does a primary transcript differ from a functional mRNA in a eukaryotic cell?
Asked in Genetics
What happens if their is mutation in DNA?
The nucleotide sequence is altered, thus changing the sequence of the mRNA codons. This causes the wrong amino acid to be produced resulting in a non-functional polypeptide. Occasionally, there is no effect or the protein is actually improved. Sickle-cell disease and Cancer are both results of mutations.
