it is likely the blower motor went out. It is located under the passenger side dash board. The plug goes bad in them and the new ones are hardwired in. to fix wiring. turn blower on, and see which one lights up this is your power, should be black, the orange or red is the resistor wire that controls fan speed. hard wire these back into new motor and replace. Note: if you get the wiring order wrong the fan wont work properly. replace and you should be good to go with a 8mm nut driver or socket. there are 3 bolts, but it is not easy to access.
Increased Engine load = more amperage
I had a similar problem in a Pontiac Sunfire. The guy at the dealership said it's a common problem with the switches they use for fan control in Chevy/Pontiac vehicles. It's about a $10 part.
My ac blows only in the defroster and not any of the other vents i have 98 ford windstar 3.8 v6
If it blows only out the defroster vents : then check for Vaccume leak Rick ASE L-1 Master TransMichigan.com
could be a vacuum line off
thats because your blower went out

Either you have clogged or busted vent pipe or the actuator could be going bad.
Bring the car to a machanic soon! It only takes seconds for the windows to fog up when the temp. and humidity is right and you wouldn't want to be on the highway in the fast lane when they do if your not sure of your defrost. Hopefully it's something simple...anyhow, goodluck and have a wonderful day.
some thing is probley cloging the vents take it appart and ckeck.
I have exactly the same problem on my 2000 Still looking for the answer
Find the vacuumline that goes from the intake to the resirvoir and from the resirvoir to the inside of the cab. It isn't connected.
