In my short barrels I use 15 grains of 3F black powder. You can fiddle a bit with the amount +/- to do what you need, but I found it to be a good load for up to a 4" barrel.

I would look at the number of barrels. If there is more than one barrel, you know you have at least a double barrel shotgun. If there are 1 or less barrels, then you don't.
That is a Stevens double. Pull straight down on the forend to separate it from the barrel set. Then open the barrels and remove them down and forward. Far as you need to go.
