The liquid portion of blood. When you centrifuge blood it will separate into layer of Red blood cells, platelets, and white blood cells, with a less dense liquid plasma layer on top of the other three layers.

Plasma is mostly water but it also composed of ions, gases, antibodies, and pretty much anything else that needs to circulate in your body that is needed for survival.
