The Hierarchy of dogs helped everyone know their roles in order to pull the sled. Dave was the wheeler of the sled, he is fair, wise and has the most experience. Then it was Sol-leks who was like Dave, and used to the environment. Then there the leader, Spitz was the most powerful and strongest. Buck was placed in between Sol-leks and Spitz to learn instruction. Buck is dependent and a quick learner. The rest of the dogs were in front of Dave.
