Why us it bad to sleep near a plant?

It is bad for us to sleep near a plant because, in contrary to the daytime, plants undergo a process during the nighttime, which is called the respiration. Respiration is a process opposite of photosynthesis, the plants breathe in oxygen and take out carbon dioxide, which is harmful for human beings.

Why is it important that the processes of respiration and photosynthesis stay in balance?

Because in respiration CarbondiOxide is realeased by human beings and in photosynthesis oxygen is given out by plants.

In which organisms does anaerobic respiration occur?

The following are organisms that perform "Anaerobic Respiration": -bacteria -fungi -yeast -animal cells that lack oxygen( for example, if you are running and don't have enough oxygen, you will most likely perform anaerobic respiration).

Why is the process of respiration important to life?

In human beings respiration means air passing from the nose or mouth via respiratory passages to millions of balloon like sacs, called the alveoli in the lungs. The function of this respiration is to provide the energy the cells in any human body need because our cells get this energy mainly through metabolising glucose with oxygen and thus they need a constant supply of oxygen. Our waste products also need to be carried away by the metabolic process which is mainly carbon dioxide which must be carried away from the cells. Our respiration includes the breathing of air into our lungs, the transfer of oxygen from the air into blood, the transportation of oxygen in our blood to our body cells , the metabolism of glucose with oxygen in our cells and the transport of carbon dioxide to the lungs to be breathed out. When we get involved in exercise, our respiration increases because it needs to compensate for higher energy demands by our muscle cells

What are the steps in the respiration process?

Every living being such as Human Beings, Reptiles, Mammals etc are complex beings and constitutes billions of cells to come together to become a larger organism than the singular cell like hydra, bacteria etc. Thus we have so many steps in respiration. Each step filters more and more unwanted foreign bodies and gases which are not needed by the body. Each step helps in metabolism of the body which transfers the required resource to the needed region.
