left side of my butt and in the groin
i fell five weeks ago in our driveway and bruised my left leg and hip bruse has gone away but it still hurts to walk, pain in my hip
A pinched nerve in the hip.
I know its a ligament in the pelvic hip wall, but the pain is shooting thru my legs downward.
I have this same exact problem and every test in the book. Mine is from L5 nerve impingement from an injury and this has started to now cause sever buttock pain along with the pain radiating into my hip and legs. The groin pain can be radiating from the L5 nerve or it could be impingement at L3-4. Any nerve impingement can cause this whether its from stenosis, herniated disc or spinal problems like scoliosis.
The best way to prevent hip injuries from running is to stretch both before and after you go. Usually it is easier to just stretch before, but by stretching after, you allow those muscles to loosen up, and get the acid out of them, which if left in there over time, can create hip pain.
