It is one of the progressive movements, but Humanist Judaism, Reconstructionist Judaism and the Jewish Renewal Movement each have a legitimate claim to being progressive, and even Conservative Judaism has a claim to the title. According to our tradition, Abraham made a complete break from the ubiquitous idolatry of the world around him. It was a principle of his to avoid borrowing or evolving his teachings from anything that had come earlier. Abraham founded what we call Judaism. He and his wife Sarah were all alone amongst a sea of idolaters.
Technicly he did not start the three religions because before him there was worshipers of God but, they died out so god called Abraham to revie his worship not what most scentist and historians baleive.
