He wasnt interested in finding Asia, he wanted to demonstrate to Christoforo Columbus that what he founded wasnt the Indias, but another continent. Amerigo Vespucci explored Central and South America. Amerigo Vespucci and Christoforo Columbus were both italian exploreres, but didnt get along well . The Americas were named after his name.
