No, he can not be accounted for the creation. Aristotle had incredible amount of contribution to science but his method of study is far different from what it is now a scientific method. Most of his magnificent work of his day is now proven unscientific or would be labelled a pseudoscience and not presentable in modern scientific world. But he is the one that start gathering the knowledge so we could question them and examine them systematically. It could be said that he laid the foundation of scientific method but not the creator.
