It was the Delian League forces, led by Athens - the battle of Cyprus 450 BCE.
The war went on for another 30 years until the Persians gave up trying to impose peace on the Greeks and left them to go back to their usual fighting each other.
The Persians
Don't Know Maybe They Were Being Bad I believe? They Went to mount Olympus And Got beat by Persians.
Sparta, with the help of the city of Syracuse.
the Spartans and the Athenians together beat up Persian armies. but Spartans fearing of Athenian's power strikes many attacks times on the enemy. the Athenians attacked the trade routes but the Athenians grew weaker. the Athenian's power was the navy and they made a lot of loot by trading.but they lost like a bunch of crap against the Spartans.but I'm not surprised because Spartans are beast even though the Greece was the super power at that time. hope this helps<:)
They greatly outnumbered the Greeks..
You don't.
He commanded a blocking force at the Pass of Thermopylae which was withdrawn after three days. The force was withdrawn after three days and the Spartan and Thespian contingents remained to cover their withdrawal. They were all killed, so he hardly beat the Persians.
Nothing. There was never a Greek empire so nothing could be going on at its end. Ancient Greece was a collection of independent city-states which were often at war with each other. If a general crises or threat occurred, such as the Persians, they would unite, beat off the threat, and then go back to their independent territories.
Thermosticles was The Athenian Admiral, that helped beat the Persians at the battle of Salamis in 480 BCE
