The Buddha possessed infinitely large and perfect loving-kindness for every single creature, even for Devadetta, a rebelling monk who tried to injure him using a very huge rock from a mountain.
When the Buddha died (attained prinirvana), he could no longer be alive (according to a mark of existence named 'Anicca' meaning impermanence) and all of his powers and loving-kindness had already disappeared together with him.
But we always keep in mind that the Buddha had infinite loving-kindness for us and that is why we have absolute faith in him and his teachings.

Love
Buddha taught a love that is compassionate, altruistic, and unconditional. This kind of love extends beyond personal attachments and desires, focusing on alleviating suffering and promoting the well-being of all beings. It is a love that seeks to cultivate understanding, empathy, and kindness towards others.
People fear that which they do not know. There is nothing evil in the teachings that I can find. I believe that Buddhism is a good and sound philosophy. I'm a christian by the way (point of reference). But to the Buddhists he is the best thing that ever happened to them.~Good answer, my Christian friend. :-) ..I am a Buddhist... there is nothing in the Buddha's teachings that is evil. He promotes nothing but love. He teaches that one must forgive, and love, and help those in need. How is that evil?
Buddha said he was not a God, then after he died people wrote sutras. Many contain things that Buddha never ever taught and so because of false teachings, some people began worshipping Buddha, which they were never supposed to do.
The Buddha's first pupils were ascetics whom he originally studied under.
