What is the better brand Jackson guitars or ibanez guitars?

Jackson guitars are usually high-quality. On the other hand, Epiphone is to Gibson what Squire is to Fender. That means that Epiphone is the lower quality, less desirable subdivision of Gibson. Gibson created the brand Epiphone to sell cheaply-made guitars. You will pay far more for an Epiphone than it's really worth simply because it's "authorized by Gibson". When you get a Jackson, you are actually getting a quality guitar. You get your money's worth out of a Jackson, whereas with an Epiphone you're paying a lot extra just because it's a part of Gibson. With Jackson, you get much more for your money. If you're trying to choose between the two, I would most definitely tell you to get a Jackson. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Jackson guitars are now made by fender. Which to my knowledge qualifies them as a subdivision. But I totally think Jacksons are better. But when you realy think about it, it's all a matter of opinion. Jackson guitars are awesome for metal, and they normally sound good, when you play them through an amp with decent distortion. But Epiphones are made for music more along the lines of what gibsons are made for, which is less heavy, and less distortion. I play an epiphone flying V, and it plays awesome. They are less expensive, but In my opinion they're just as good as gibsons. Jackson guitars don't' really come cheap either.-------------------------------------GIBSON DID NOT 'CREATE' EPIPHONE TO SELL CHEAPLY MADE GUITARS, EPIPHONE WAS ACQUIRED BY GIBSON IN 1957...EPIPHONE GUITARS, VIOLINS AND LUTES HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR 130 YEARS......AND YOUR RIGHT....JACKSON GUITARS ARE VERY NICE...BUT THEY ARE MADE FOR HEAVIER MUSIC....EPIPHONES ARE MADE FOR BLUES, ROCK, COUNTRY AND RECORDING....JACKSON, WELL, ONLY HEAVY METAL....ANYONE CAN POST ANYTHING THEY WANT ON THE INTERNET....JUST DO A LITTLE RESEARCH FIRSTWHOEVER WROTE THE FIRST POST UP TOP REALLY HAS NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON...OR HAS NEVER PLAYED AN EPIPHONE BEFORETHIS IS A LIST OF ARTIST WHO PLAY/PLAYED EPIPHONESI HIGHLY DOUBT JACKSON CAN LAY CLAIM TO SUCH A LARGE AND DIVERSE GROUP OF MUSICIANS.....note, THE BEATLES ALL PLAYED EPIPHONES, BOB MARLEY, ZAKK WYLDE, JOAN OSRBOURNE, OUR LADY PEACE, JANES ADDICTION, LYNARD SKYNARD, WILLY NELSON AND MARILYN MANSON.....THESE ARE ALL PEOPLE THAT COULD HAVE AFFORDED ANYTHING THEY WANTED....INCLUDING GIBSON,BUT PLAYED EPIPHONES, GIBSON DOESNT MAKE EPIPHONE, THEY OWN THEMFENDER MAKES SQUIER, AND MAKE THEM POORLY.....AND IN MY EXPERIENCE DON'T HOLD A CANDLE TO EPIPHONE.Marko 72 - SUGARCULTSeth Abrams - H20Rhett AkinsAlondraMaria Conchita AlonsoDave Amato - REO SPEEDWAGONAMERICAN ENGLISHAndrew Schmidt - STIRAntsy - TRAILER PARK TROUBODORSARCHERCandace AsherCorin Ashley - PILLSChet AtkinsGreg Attonito - BOUNCING SOULSAudio AdrenalineJeff Autly - JOHN COWANWayne Avers - THE MONKEESBrad Avery - THIRD DAYChris Ballew - PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICAMat Barber - EMANUELJoe Bob BarnhillPaul Barrere - LITTLE FEATJeff "Skunk" Baxter - STEELY DAN, DOOBIE BROS.Tim Beattie - BRAD COTTERMargaret BeckerJay Belloruse - PAULA COLERobby Bennett - PEPPER'S GHOSTGeorge Biando - GEORGE BIANDOBilly Bigford - THE BRAT ATTACKAdam Blake - H20Jeff Blando - SLAUGHTER, VINCE NEILJohn Bohlinger - NASHVILLE STARTerry Lee BoltonRick BorgiaNate Bott - BIG CITY ROCKRonny Bowman - LONESOME RIVER BANDPat Boyack - MARSHA BALLLoetta Branks - LILA MCCANNKenneth BrianKix BrooksRobert Breen - BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUBBob Britt - DIXIE CHICKSChad Brock - CHAD BROCKDonny Brown - VERVE PIPEJackson BrowneDuwayne Burnside - THE MISSISSIPPI MAFIAKristian Bush - SUGARLANDCasey Calvert - HAWTHORNE HEIGHTSPhil Campbell - MOTORHEADScott Campbell - THE SILLIESPaul Cardone - SATTELLITESAndrew Carillo - JOAN OSBORNEMicah Carli - HAWTHORNE HEIGHTSChad - 8 STOPS 7Chad - NICKELBACKBruce ChanelChris Chaney - JANES ADDICTIONEva ChavelaCherry Poppin' Daddy'sCHOCOLATE ROCKETSChris Chew - NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARSSara ChurchPopa ChubbyAndy Childs - SIXWIREDanny Cicchone - TRACY BONHAMCJ - DROWNING POOLMatt Clark - FREAKHOUSERob Clay - CRAVIN MELONPhillip ClaypoolTammy CochranJimmy Cokenos - FINGER ELEVENGeorge Edward ColePaula ColeCharlie Colin - TRAINNick ColionneJohn Connolly - SEVENDUSTRonnie Cook - FLYING W WRANGLERSBrad CotterRandy CovenPeter CrissWes CunninghamKC Daniel - SEVEN MARY THREETommy Dark - THE ODDZDavid - VIDEODRONESeth Davin - DROPPING DAYLIGHTPete Davison - THREE CROSSESSteve Dean - JAMES DEANLarry Dean - VERN MONETMark DecarloChuck Derric Dio - RONNY JAMESLouis Destephano - SIBLING WATERSNeil DiamondBethany Dick - PAM TILLIS BANDLuther Dickinson - NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARSJoe DiffieMeredith DiMennaMike Dixon - BLOOMClarence DobbinsChris Donahue - FLEMING & JOHNGail Ann DorseyDOWN POURTHE DRIVEJoan OsborneDrop Kick MurphysChris DuartePete Dunning - PAPA VEGASAJ Dunning - VERVE PIPEJesse James Dupree - JACKYLSean E. - FAMOUSSteve EarleMark Easterling - WILKENSONSW.C. Gibson does sell its budget versions of its higher end guitars under the Epiphone name. They do also sell as far as I know original Epiphone models, new models and such. I am not saying they are not good quality or anything of that nature - read on.Basically all the manufacturers these days have lower lines, mid lines, and top end stuff. Fender obvioulsy has the squire line and top end Fender USA stuff - Unless something has changed if it is not a Fender USA it is manufactured in Mexico. That means production line and not hand made.Jackson is no different they have the lower end, mid and of course USA made - Again the lower to mid range are manufactured on production lines much different than what we got back in the days of the custom Charvel and Jackson stuff. If you want the top end of any of the manufacturers your looking at a min of $1000 or so for those currently on the shelf and its been a while but probably closer to $3000 for custom and top end stuff. If you are looking at the lower dollar stuff which is still good stuff - I personally have been playing for 25 years and have played lots of models from all the manufactures listed above. They all have great guitars in the various price points. In my opinion previous posters should put a little more thought to what they recommend and try to help rather than pushing or trying to validate a brand. I really don't care who plays a guitar or how many people play a brand. The best thing a new player can do is sit down at a decent music store and play as many guitars as you can - Can you say guitar center - Play some jacksons, Fenders, Gibsons, Ibanez and so on - and decide what you like best about the feel and sound of the guitar - It might be wize to research specific brands and model classses to know where the pricing levels are and what to expect from those levels. I would set a budget then define what models to look at from each brand at that price point.DbowJackson. Always Jackson. Some people think if its not name brand or a division of name brand like, epiphone to Gibson, it is worthless piece of crap. they are wrong. Jackson's have a tremolo unlike epiphnones or Gibsons. the Jackson is the best because of the Floyd rose tremolo and locking system. One More Thing,While I can uphold most of what has been said in this post, A bad Epi is still a Gibson. Better yet, this is mostly all opinion of the posters and you really do need to PLAY a guitar. I own an Epi Les Paul and a Jackson Dinky, I love both for different reasons. Action, sound, size and weight. A Jackson is always going to be lighter han just about ANY Gibson or Epi, good thing to know if you're gonn play on stage or just extended jamming sessions. But most of all congrats for wanting to get a kller axe and join the ranks of the metal nation!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Supervisor here. Please be careful with your' opinions. You might remind question writers of this fact when your' post is so strong. Cap lock all the way through an answer might be misunderstood as aggression.
