This is an old myth, that Jesus must have spent time in a Buddhist community, probably in the Himalayas, because many of his teachings could be seen as reflecting Buddhist influences. However, the similarities are not close, and there is no reason to believe that Jesus ever went near a Buddhist community. The physical barriers to travel between Palestine and Tibet are so great that it seems preposterous that a poor carpenter could have made the journey.
