ACP stands for Automatic Colt Pistol. It is used to differentiate two bullets of the same caliber when one is for a pistol and one is for a revolver. For instance, .45 Colt is for a revolver, and .45 ACP is for a pistol. Other than the .45 inch measurement, the two have nothing in common and are not interchangeable; the .45 ACP cannot be used in a revolver chambered for .45 Colt and vice versa. The cartridge length and capacity are just two of the factors that make each different from the other.
The Model 1878 was offered in 10 and 12 gauge from 1878 through 1889.
they were produced for the Union Army during the civil war...............
9x18 is the Makarov cartridge. Browning never made a firearm chambered for it. They did, however, make such a pistol in 9x17 - otherwise known as the .380 Automatic Colt Pistol. It was actually the Beretta 84 'Cheetah', badge engineered and marketed as the Browning BDA 380.
Depends on the make: Colt,Remington, etc. TRY furnishing the makers name, the model, caliber and serial number and you MAY just find out when it was made...........................
This was a special version of the pocket lite pistol colt used to make and just started making again. I've seen several places that claim there were only 200 made. And one other person claim that it was anywhere from 500-800. It's a great little pistol but doesn't vary to much from the old pocket lite.
You make mare into colt as follows: MARE MALE MALT MOLT COLT
Pistol barrels range from 2" to 12", and almost every increment in between. Longer barrels increase accuracy, shorter barrels make for more compactness.
I'd contact Colt directly for repair of your revolver. FedEx used to do this without any hassle as long as it is sent directly to the Colt factory for repairs. I've had a lot of nosey questions from UPS. Make sure to insure it.
