What is the value of a riverside arms company chicopee falls mass patented February 10 1914 double barrel with hammer's coach gun made for Wells Fargo company with the inlaid Wells Fargo badge?

Riverside was acquired by the Stevens company about 1920, and the Riverside name continued for about 20 years. These were utility grade shotguns. Unfortunately, there was been a brisk trade in making "Wells Fargo" shotguns- there are more out there than Wells Fargo ever owned. I would urge you to get a hands on appraisal by someone with a good knowledge of shotguns- to the best of my knowledge, Wells Fargo bought higher quality arms. Sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news-

Did Hanover Arms Co make shotguns for Wells Fargo?

No. Hanover Arms was a trade name used by H&D Folsom Sporting Goods on inexpensive shotguns made by Crescent Firearms and a variety of Belgian makers. If you have a double barrel shotgun with Wells Fargo markings, someone has tried to make a silk purse from a sow's ear./QuestionI have a Wells Fargo 12 gauge made by American Gun Co of New York. It has several authentic markings on the stock. It however, has had the barrels cut off some. Has external hammers. lcjones American Gun Co is another Folsom trade name. Because all the old western movies showed the stagecoach shotgun as a short-barreled gun, all the fakers cut the barrels. In reality, stagecoach guards would use a standard length (30 or 32 inch) shotgun or a lever action rifle.

Where can you find information about a 19 inch double barrel Riverside Arms gun with a 1914 patent marked Property of Wells Fargo on a brass plate and the initial WF on the barrel and frame?

I can tell you that your shotgun was made by J. Stevens Arms sometime between 1914 and 1940, the barrel was cut off and the Wells Fargo markings were added by someone trying to make an inexpensive shotgun appear to be a rare collectable firearm. WF guns were not marked with the brass plates and so many "stagecoach guns" have been faked that there is no collector market for any that do not have solid provinence, ie., a bill of sale from the company identifying the make, model, and serial number.
