One piece of equipment was an external frame backpack from a Glendale, CA company called Kelty (now located in Boulder, CO). The backpack used to be on display back in the late 60's/early 70's at the Glendale store, where young backpackers (like me) could gently caress it and dream of our own mountains to conquer.
