Fidel is a very charismatic person who is very well educated. He was a lawyer educated in the US prior to his becoming Cuba's dictator. His vision of equality for Cubans is what gave him control of Cuba. Because of his family background he learned to be a leader. His family owned a sugar plantation and were rather wealthy.
