Fumiko Ishioka is the director of the Holocaust Center in Tokyo, Japan. She received Hana's suitcase from the Auschwitz museum. She did further research and found some of her drawings from when she was in Theresienstadt. Fumiko then found out that Hana had a brother, George Brady, that survived the war. They got together and spoke about Hana. George answered every question that Fumiko and the group "Little Wings" had. In her suitcase, Hana had put her favorite doll, some clothing, imperishable foods, family pictures & souvenirs, drawings & books. The suitcase went all around Japan and was visited by 52 000 children. Hana had taught children to be respectful, compassionate & tolerant. Her story should never be forgotten because it ended in such a terrible & cruel way at such a young age.
for the newspapers
Not like Tom Brady lol
The assertion that "no one took pictures...the camera hadn't been invented" as previously posted is entirely wrong. Matthew Brady was a photographer during the American Civil War. His works were somewhat reviled due to their realism, which was a new concept in war photography. There has been some speculation that some of his photos of death and destruction may have been posed. War photography existed even before then. Roger Fenton took photographs during the Crimean War of 1853.

civil war
Matthew B. Brady gained fame as a photographer due to his photographic "history" of many key events and battles of the US Civil War. He was a Northerner and the Union's public were able to see the horrible tragedies of that war via the pictures Brady sent to Northern newspapers and magazines. Brady was born in 1823 and died in 1896.
