She carried a scepter and had her pet bird, the peacock, with her.

Hera hated Hercules because he was not her child, but the son of Zeus and another woman he cheated with. That's why she tried to kill Hercules.Even though "Hercules" means something like "pride of Hera," Hercules is NOT Hera's son, as many people often confuse. :)
Sort of a cross between Shakira and Lady Margaret Thatcher.
Hera.
Hera is the sister and wife of Zeus. She is the goddess of women and always carries either peacock feathers or apples.
yes hera did cheat on zeus, but no one knows with who or how many times
Zeus cheated on Hera many times with many different women. The most notable was Alcmene, the mother of Hercules.

Hera is passionate, motherly, compassionate, however, when Hera is betrayed or disrespected she could be very vindictive.
The answer is to always carry a fistful of earth from camp in her pocket.

Hera is his mother, and Zeus is sometimes told to be his father (Hera is at times said to be his only parent), also Talos (otherwise, that is the name of Hephaestus's bronze giant).
In my opinion, Hera's weakness is her husband, Zeus. Whenever he cheated on her, Hera would either have revenge on her husband's mistress or she would do something else but as bad as having revenge. Although, Hera's sacred animals (peacocks and cows), too, could be a weakness. BUT, Hera's biggest ever weakness must be Hephaestus. Since Hera is the Goddess of Marriage and Childbirth (there are a lot of Goddesses of Childbirth), her biggest weakness must be to have an ugly child. Hera either has a perfect family or she will be pissed. Hephaestus was ugly so Hera threw him out of Olympus, that's why he was a cripple.

Her husband Zeus was, even if he habitually seduced lots of women. At times Hera borrowed Aphrodite's girdle, put it on, and Zeus became enamoured again.
