What good things did Adolf Hitler do?

He unified the country, provided jobs and opportunities for thousands of people, and gave the country hope for a return to glory after the farce that was its economy (following the Treaty of Versailles). His war machine was responsible for some of the greatest advances in technology and science the world has ever seen. He probably also lowered the rates of mental and physical disability in the country for quite some time after the war.

It would be comforting to the rest of us to say that he was something special, that he was somehow different from normal people, but unfortunately he was as human as the rest of us, the only difference being that he was able to do whatever he wanted, as Lord Acton said:

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

This does not mean that he did not achieve some goo things first: he eliminated the violence and crime that plagued Germany in the early 1930s (with the use of concentration camps), he eliminated unemployment, he created a highway network throughout the country (that is still used today), he made it possible for everyone to afford a radio (the intention was so that they could all listen to Propaganda, but never-the-less, everyone could still afford one). All of these and many more did happen before he believed that he could do whatever he wanted.

The list of good things that he did is overshadowed by the bad things, but it would be a mistake to just say that he was bad or evil and be done with it.

• He started first checking of drunk drivers.
• Organized crime was brought to 0% during his time.
• He created ecologic laws for protecting water, earth and air.
• For the first time in history workers had payed vacations.
• After death of Fritz Todt he created black box for airplanes.
• He prohibited selling of cigarettes to women.
• He prohibited smoking to people in uniforms and persons under the age of 18.
• He also prohibited smoking in public areas.
• He first placed photos of lungs etc. on cigarette boxes.
• He is the founder of Volskwagen (people cars), and the designer of VW beetles, the world nr 1 saled car.
• He fighted Breast cancer and Lung Cancer.
• The first freeways in the world were built in Germany. Autobahn ("The whole world came, and saw, and copied.").
• He saved Germany from unemployment and financial ruin.
• He Promoted of architecture,music and the arts;
• first epic olympic games were held in 1936-Germany
• World's first research linking smoking and cancer thx to Hitler;
• An Affordable Vacation is your right, thanks to Adolf
• women's rights
• Homes with gardens. No more "rabbit-warrens".
• Hitler had sparing the 338,000 British and French troops at Dunkirk in 1940.if not the result was the capture of the entire British Expeditionary Force.
• He did everything possible to avoid war with Britain & France
• Under the guidance of the Reich, Europe would speedily have become unified.
• he free the German media, German education, Geman finance, German politics, German culture from the Jews and all communists who wanted to transform Germany into a ruined country under soviet power.
• Reunited all German speaking langues into Großdeutsches Reich

• During his reign Germany was the most powerful state in the world
• greatest tehnology in human history was developed by Third Reich (first jet fighters, bombers, first stealth plane, first stealth submarine, first rockets, nuclear weapons, orbitals bombers, first helicopters, first flying disk, first tv programs, first 3d movies, first rifles and the list can go on ..............)

If we really want to find something good in the career of Adolph Hitler, who is probably the most evil and destructive person in the history of the human race, we might point to the creation of the Volkswagon company at his orders, a company which to this day is a significant part of the German economy, whose cars many people have been happy to drive.

Yes he did. He put factories back into production, he changed the economy of Germany from a terrible recession into a future for its people. Little did they know to what ends he did that...
