I can give you a more accurate value if you will provide the serial number(to determine the year of manufacture). I will also need to know if your rifle has any special features such as a takedown model,A button magazine(half magazine),special wood, pistol grip buttstock, round barrel or half round half octagon,or full octagon barrel etc.
year 1896
post the serial and your get an answer.
Without saying the model number in your question? The best that I can do is say that you may have 1 of 2 models. The savage model 25 had a octagon barrel and a pump action, open sights, takedown, hammerless, tube magazine, plain pistol grip stock. These were made between 1925-1929.The second model is the model 29.These pump action .22cal rifles had a 22in.octagon barrel until 1940,open sights, checkered pistol grip stock on the pre-war version.these were made by savage between 1929-1967.
It will be eight sided, thus the name hexagon barrel.
In this model of Winchester rifle, there is no difference in value between the round or octagon barrel.
It is possible that you have a model 1901 rolling block pistol that was re-chambered for the 219 zipper caliber.I show no records of Remington rolling block pistols that were chambered for the 219 zipper. Is the barrel 10in.long and part round part octagon?this would indicate that the barrel is from a model 1901 rolling block pistol? If not then the pistol has been re-barreled and then chambered for the 219 zipper cartridge. The use of rem-umc was between 1916-1920.
Depends on what you have.
Your Iver Johnson Target model 55 was made from 1955-1960.
