The first shot (by Lee Harvey Oswalt) went through President Kennedy and struck Governor John Connally in the lower back, through his hand and into his thigh. The third shot struck President Kennedy in the brain and half of his face blew off. Jackie tried to jump out the back of the limo to retrieve the face but was stopped by secret service. He was then rushed to Parkland Hospital where he stayed alive for hours and then was pronounced dead.
