John the Baptist is not recorded as having sinned during his lifetime in the Bible.
There are many Johns in the New Testament, all had different things to say. But one John (the baptist) said: Behold the lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world. KJV John 1:29.
Upon seeing Jesus coming towards him, John the Baptist declaries: "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29) A few verses later he says, "I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God." (v.34)

The words of John the Baptist who baptised him. Please see John 1.29. "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." That was and is Jesus mission; to take away the sins of the world. .

The scripture in the Bible that discusses the concept of Jesus taking on the sins of the world is found in the book of John, chapter 1, verse 29, where John the Baptist refers to Jesus as the "Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
Jesus tells us that, freedom from sin and grace are offered to those who repent and accept their sins.
Jesus Christ went to the cross of Calvary dying there and taking all of mankind's sin with Him, thereby paying the price for our sin that if we accept Him as Savior we will inherit eternal life in heaven with Him. He also was resurrected by the Father proving that the Father accepted Jesus' sacrifice as worthy to save mankind. He was the perfect sacrifice for our sin as He was sinless as a Man and as God (God can not sin). Salvation does not come automatically. You have to accept Jesus as your personal Savior. John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me."
John the Baptist's ministry was to prepare the way of the Lord and to introduce Jesus to the world as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. John's ministry was prophesied in the Old Testament (Malachi 3:1; 4:5-6) and he fulfilled it by establishing the baptism of repentance and the introducing Jesus to the world. Jesus' ministry mainly was to be the Lamb of God that John the Baptist prophesied about Jesus. To accomplish this ministry Jesus died for the sins of the world as prophesied by Old Testament prophets (Eg: Isaiah 53). To fulfill His ministry to die for the mankind, Jesus went through all the stages of human development (born, lived among people, etc) to be an ideal substitute for a human.
