There is nothing in The Bible to suggest that Jesus believed in capital punishment. The gospels tell us that Jesus believed in forgiveness. there is some debate on the matter. Jesus often preached to forgive, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and so on. however, he often tells his followers to look to the Old Testament, which contains many offenses that explicitly call for the death penalty.
god loved us so much he sent his one and only son that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life, so your answers is when the leaders of the court asked jesus if he was the mesiha he did not answer. why because god promised he would send his son and jesus was his son so he didn't answer because he knew he had to die for our sins.
God is a loving God not a fearful God where you have to fear him like you do ala or budah.
Yes
yes.
No, the majority of law enforcement officials believe that the death penalty does not deter criminals from committing crimes.
This statement is debatable. There are people who believe that America has a subculture of violence and that we glorify guns and are therefore more likely to use the death penalty. Compared to Europe who has abolished the death penalty and many believe they value human rights more than people in America. There is also a Southern Exceptionalism in which people in the south believe in and use the death penalty more because of its history of racial discrimination and it's subculture of violence.
yes they oppose itAnother View: I believe the Democrat Party, as a political entity, opposes the death penalty. I am certain not everyone who claims to be a Democrat supports that view.
Water baptism, life, death resurrection of Jesus. Jesus' death on the cross.
Witnesses believe Jesus ascended to heaven after his death on earth.
Our countries might not grant diplomatic recogniztion to one another. Also, if it is a death penalty case, some countries do not believe in the death penalty and will refuse to extradite someone to the US unless they receive diplomatic assurance that the death penalty will not be asked for.
it has alot to do with jesus. if you dont not believe in jesus christ you will not have life after death. or spend the rest of time in heaven.
Nothingnegates Jesus' death on the cross.
i believe if you killed somebody, and it was not in a form of self defense, then you should be killed.
Crucifixion was not something that was uinque to Jesus. It was an accepted form of punishment for certain crimes carried out by the 'law' in the time of Jesus. The law being Roman rule, enforced by Roman soldiers. Jesus was sentenced to death after being accused of blaspheming by claiming to be God in the flesh. Blaspheming carried with it the death penalty, much as first degree murder does in our modern courts. I believe that scripture tells us that at least one of the men cruicified with Jesus was a thief, which was punishable by death.
