It is doubtful that the number is that high, but many were sent to the gas chambers because they were so thin that they could not do physical labour anymore, most of the people who died of disease only died because theie immune systems were so badly compromised due to starvation.
There were also those that were sent to the 'starvation cells', where they were left to die.
