No, and neither did his wife. Haydn married Maria Anna Keller, the elder sister of his first love who had become a nun. She turned out to be a spendthrift, bad-tempered, unattractive, did not care for music and was unable to have children.

(Franz) Joseph Haydn, composer of the Classical Period -

Born - 1732 in Rohrau, Austria

Died - May, 1809 in Vienna, Austria He seems to have had not much luck in love. His first love had become a nun, so Haydn agreed to marry her sister, Maria Anna Keller, who was bad-tempered, unattractive, did not seem to care much for him and, she was unable to have children. By the time Maria died in 1800, Haydn was too old to be thinking of marriage and children.
