Yes! It seems she did indeed become a pillar of salt. Gen.19:26 provide evidence to her ill-fated decision of ignoring the warning cited by Gen. 19:17 “look not behind thee … lest thou be consumedâ€. She is also referenced to in the New Testament at Luke 17:32. Nowhere in scripture is Lot's wife mentioned by name. However, there exist extra-biblical historical accounts that name her specifically.

The ancient Book called the "Sefer haYashar" (Book of the Upright) gives additional details that it was Lots wives compassion for the daughters she had left in the city that made her turn around. It also says her name is "Ado" pronounced "ah-doe".
