The forum committee of the Student Senate of the University of Hawaii invited Dr. King, James Farmer of CORE, a Black Power Representative, an officer of the White Citizens Council of Atlanta, and a Grand Kleagle or some such thing of the KKK. They were believe it or not all on the same stage.

Dr. King also preached at Hawaii's Central Union United Church of Christ.
