France brah
Poland
first Germany invaded Poland but we had promised Poland that if Germany invaded them that we would help and France are our friends so they joined in two and it went on from there !!
They needed each other's help in fighting Germany.
Because Poland was full of Jews, and Hitler didn't like Jews...
It is completely irrelevant as Germany would have attacked Poland anyway.
Britain and France both had a defence agreement with Poland. When Germany attacked Poland on 1st September 1939, Britain and France both declared war on Germany two days later but their actions did absolutely nothing to help Poland.
Answer The treaty of Amity was when England promised Poland that they would help them out if they ever got in trouble with another country. Then Germany invaded Poland so England had to help out. By Bryce
Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Finland. Maybe some others.
The reason for U.S. involvement was the bombing of our Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The reason the war started was that Hitler had Germany invade Poland, causing France and the U.K. to declare war since they had a treaty with Poland to help defend her should she be invaded.
UK and France entered the war 3. September 1939 because Germany stormed Poland. Poland and all the surrounding countries around Germany made a "pact" after WW1 that they would help each other if Germany declared war to a country ever again.
I would say it could have something to do with the fact, that nobody knew then it would cause a World War II. Hitler stated he only wanted to get "back" the city of Gdańsk and connect Germany with German Prussia. I think people thought it was just that, a war between Poland and Germany, nothing of their concern. What suprises me, however, is that Britain didn't help Poland - they were allies, after all. Actually, nobody really helped Poland and it itself was too weak and too surprised to stand against the German forces. And it was when Polan fell and Hitler moved on that the world realised what was going on.
