lots of kinghts, soldiers and peasants and most importatly Harold
There is no historic record that William the Conquerer killed anyone personally with his own hands. At the Battle of Hastings in 1066 William's invading army killed many defenders of England in the army of King Harold.
Harold didn't have that much good luck. Although he won a battle against Harold Hardrada which meant him and his army had some experience on what it was like in a battle so it would be easier for him to kill William of Normandy in the battle of Hastings's. Thank-you
He had to kill another guy called Harald from Norway, who also had claims to the throne, at the battle of Stamford Bridge so his men were really tired to go to battle with William of Normandy, later called William the conqueror
Kill each other.
"Being Southerners, it was a source of shame to some members of the family that we had no recorded ancestors on either side of the Battle of Hastings". - Page: 3
He did not kill anyone.
He didn't really have that much luck, but he did manage to kill Harald Hadraada and his brother Tostig.
He wanted to kill William and let everyone else be free. And so he could be king until he lay on his death bead......... :) oh and he also got his troops to build a shield wall and wait till Williams army tired then they would attackkkk
footmen calvery and archers were used in the battle of Hastings for William to win it
As a child William the conqueror was contantly in hiding, many people attempted to kill him while he was a child so they could have the throne for themselves. When he became a teenager, Edmund the confessor trained him as a warrior and conqueror.
because he wanted to be king.
Yes he was very brave always at the front of his army, he seemed to be everywhere at the same time! In the battle of Hastings his men were about to give up because they thought he was dead but he took off his helmet to show his men he was still alive. This is brave because Harold Godwinson would have had people trying to kill just William but William still done it to give his army hope and it got them to keep fighting.
