Zeus was very famous for cheating on his wife, Hera. Throughout Greek Mythology, he has been known to cheat more times than can be counted. Basically every hero worthy of knowledge claimed either Zeus or some other deity as their father or ancestor, so it is hard to keep track of. The most famous among the people he cheated with included:
Io
Europa
Ganymede
Leto
Callisto
Semela
Alcmena
Danae
Leda
among others
He stopped having children, one way or another, when Greek religion became Greek myth.
There was none, Ares was Hera's son. Not that that didn't stop Greek goddesses and gods, but Hera was also goddess of marriage and married to the unfaithful Zeus.
Hera, the wife of Zeus and Queen of the Heavens, did nothing to Apollo himself, she however was the cause of Leto's flight, for fear of the rage of Hera: she also attempted to stop Leto from giving birth to Apollo.
She often tried to stop them from giving birth to their and Zeus's children or tried to kill the children. She also punished them by cursing them.
Past practice, when it continues, is a good precedent. The cheating will probably never stop.
Hephaestus was crippled when he was thrown off of Olympus by his father, Zeus when he tried to stop an argument between Him and Hera
No, Leto is the mother of Artemis and Apollo. In fact, Hera hated the twins because they were children of her husband Zeus by a different woman. Hera did everything in her power to stop the twins from being born and to make Leto's life miserable.
Strangely enough yes, Demeter was related to Zeus, along with the other main gods e.g. Hera. Hades, Poseidon and Hestia. They were brothers and sisters. But this didn't stop Zeus from having a quick affair with Demeter, which led to the creation of Persephone
LET ME MAKE THIS VERY CLEAR: NICK NEVER WAS OR EVER WILL BE CHEATING ON A GIRL!!!!! ALL OF YALL NEED TO STOP MILEY IS A JERK JUST LIKE JOSE IS!
Hera, as queen of the gods, is married to Zeus, king of the gods. though Zeus had many children only two were with Hera. they were Hephateous(sorry idk how 2 spell it!), deformed god of blacksmith and Ares, god of war. Hera was also one of the first gods in Greek mythology. her brother are Zeus(ik its gross) Poseidon and Hades. her sisters are Hestia, goddess of the hearth, and Demeter, goddess of agriculture and seasons. basicly all the greek gods are related in some way(except Aphrodite, but thats a whole other story)so ill stop at that. hope i helped(:
Zeus was a Greek god, and he never ate his children; he is noted for swallowing Metis, mother of Athena as well as Phanes. His father Cronus swallowed all of Zeus's older siblings (Hades, Poseidon, Hestia, Demeter, Hera) before his birth and it was with the help of Metis that Zeus made Cronus spit them out whole.
Hera's wrath was known far and wide for heros sired by her husband. She drove Hercules mad and in his insanity, he murdered his wife and children. Yeah, not so fun. She was not happy that Zeus was so interested in mortal women.
Real answer : only one (Hera) the Greeks only allowed one marriage, but he had an affair with all of the others. Actually Zeus' first wife was Metis (Athena's mother). Metis was the first goddess of wisdom, well actually she was a Titan. Zeus ate her in order to stop her from having a son (a prophecy said Metis' son would overthrow him). Zeus' second wife was Hera (goddess of marriage and women), his sister. Themis is also said to be a wife of Zeus between the first, Metis and Hera. The reason he is credited with so many wives and loves is because as worship of the Greek gods spread the chief god of a town or people was made into one god, while his wife or consort was said to be a lover of Zeus - and so why Zeus had so many lovers and children.
