350. Type your answer here...
240-245 hp
The 1984 model of Firebirds did not come with a 5.7 (350) engine. there was a 5.0 305 H.O. in the Trans Am and a standard output 5.0..

Which 350?? Chevy or Pontiac? A Pontiac engine will drop right in. A Chevy takes a lot more work.
Not without an adapter for the engine mounts. Without having to buy or make the adapter, the engines that will fit your car without any modifications are the 69-79, any size.....350, 400, 428, 455.
Buick, Olds, Pontiac, and Cadillac had the same bolt pattern. Chevrolet is different.
Nope.....unless you possibly have a universal trans. The only thing that will bolt to a Chevy trans is a Chevy. The Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cadillac share the same pattern with each other.
The Buick 350 V8 engine and the Chevrolet L6 and V8 engines share the same bolt pattern. Pontiac and Oldsmobile 350 V8 engines share their own bolt pattern. There were also TH 350 transmissions that had dual bolt patterns and fit all 350 GM engines.
any Buick, olds or Pontiac turbo 350, turbo 400 or any overdrive tranny should bolt up to your engine.
