Crowfeather was in love with Feathertail but then fell in love with Leafpool. After Cinderpelt and Sootfur died from badgers they split. Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw hit it off but then Brambleclaw becomes like Tigerstar, power hungry and Ashfur shows love to Squirrelflight. Eventually, Brambleclaw does become deputy,Kills Ashfur,Squirrelflight and Firestar and becomes leader. It turns out that Cloudtail and Dustpelt are exiled for being to strong and brambleclaw chooses Rainwhisker as his deputy. Most of the clan leaves and thunderclan is destroyed. Shadowclan,Riverclan and Windclan eventually follow. This all happens in The New Prophecy series.(Not really Everything after Brambleclaw becoming dep is untrue.)

Im sure he still loves her but he has to get over the past and move on with the future. He took her name (feather) to remind him of what she did for him but he will forever be in love with Leafpool. (Even though Nightcloud is his mate)
