Guru Nanak Dev Ji used to go for bathing to the Banaras river where he lived. On one morning he went for his daily bath and did not come out of river. Everybody thought he drowned.Guru Nanak Dev Ji reappeared after three days and thus started his teachings what is known as Sikhism today.
