Yes. Many faced discrimination in the gold rush. Hispanic men in the gold rush were often claim jumped and had to pay a tax to live in a town. Native Americans were discriminated against and thrown off their lands while Chinese were regulated to the lowest paying jobs and forced to live in segregated areas. African Americans were also discriminated against and and treated poorly.
