Not many a few pigs, some goats, and cows. They were primarily growing wheat. I go to the mission all the time. It is in a valley of oaks and feels very much like it did in the 1700’s. The first marriage in Alta California was performed at the mission. Today construction is going on to retrofit the mission for earthquakes. Services, events, and retreats are held today at the mission.
Three bells. I went into my pictures of the mission and looked . They are small bells with one in the center and one on each side. The mission is one of the smallest and located in a valley of oaks. I go there all time and it is being worked on to repair the roof and other parts. I like to sit in the gardens with the mission cat listening to the hawks fly over.

The first claim was said to have been in 1771, but an actual structure wasnt built until 1775. Then a second building was built in 1779, and various other buildings were added throughout its history until 1948, when the Franciscans began reconstruction on it, finishing by 1952. So, roughly, San Antonio de Padua was under construction for 177 years.
