You are off by a century. Queen Victoria died in 1901. January 22 to be exact. As she was on the Isle of Wight, Funeral arrangements had to be coordinated by Wireless Telegraph, something new ( no wire connections to the mainland- so wireless telegraphy was used) First funeral use of Radiograms!
