Stress or distraction from the training or the whale thinks the trainer was a toy.
Stress and boredom, swimming around in a tank instead of open ocean, doing repeated tricks for the price of a fish instead of hunting using their natural instincts. They were never meant to be kept like pets for our entertainment, they are intelligent creatures with a mind of their own, eventually they will snap. It is just tragic that a trainer lost their life, all in the name of entertainment and making money.
yes he did he was having hormones at that time
Sadly, yes. The whale's name was Tilikum, a male bull orca killed his trainer, Dawn Brancheau who was 40 years old, in February of 2010.
No killer whales dont eat people they eat Great White Sharks, fish, whales, and other marine animals.
shamu the killer whale
I believe you mean "How much does the biggest captive orca weigh?". They are not called Shamu. Shamu died in the 1970's. The largest captive orca weighs 12,000 lbs.
No, whales are mammals. Sharks are cold blooded. Killer whale belongs to oceanic dolphin family.
The orca whale, named "Tilikum", still resides at Sea World, Florida. They have discontinued any shows that invovle trainers entering the water with the animals.
Mr mako green
Shamu died in the 1970's. Shamu is the stage name for all orca shows in Seaworld
Nothing a orca can attack a great white shark nothing can get this animal
Shamu was actually the name given to the second female killer whale ever captured. As you probably already know, along with Namu & Ramu, it is one of the stage names used for all of the killer whales used in the shows at the various SeaWorld parks.
Shamu is an orca. She was the first orca to survive for longer than 13 months while in captivity. She lived in the San Diego Sea World.
He name was Dawn Brancheau. She was 40 years of age. She most likely died from multiple traumatic injuries and drowning after one of the park's killer whales pulled her into a pool behind Shamu Stadium. She died on Feb, 25 2010.
1 million orca tears.
Shamu is a orca whale. Orcas eat fish, seals, sea lions, penguins, dolphins, squid, and blue whales. They are carnivores, and therefore eat almost any animal they can find.
