Mischling
they had to wear a band on their arms identifying them as Jews, they were restricted to certain areas, they were not allowed to trade with gentiles.
That's like asking if everyone in Canada likes hockey. Some people disliked the Jews, some tried to help them. Not everyone thinks the same.
Some were adopted by Aryans, some were looked after by friends and masqueraded as gentiles and some were smuggled away from the reach of the Germans.
When the Nazis had hold over Germany for a time, many people that migrated were Jewish. The Nazis were trying to eradicate the Jews, and many left as soon as they were able. Some non-Jewish Germans left as well because they did not agree with Nazi rule.
I believe there was some history on this that may have disappeared or hushed over time where quite a few Germans claimed to be Jewish to either escape persecution if they participated in the Nazi regime or to just simply not be blamed for what the Nazi regime did to another group of people. Those particular Germans even went so far as to adopt Jewish-like names (although there were a lot of Jewish names that were originally German) and adopting their religion and lifestyle.
the Germans hated the Jewish because they were different to themselves when they captured Jewish people they used to put them in concentration camps, in the concentration camps the Germans used the Jewish as slaves but if they were to young or old they made them strip of completely they shaved off all of the hair from all over the bodys then told the Jewish that they were going for a shower the shoved hundreds of Jews into a gas chamber and gassed them to death. The Germans were not the first people to persecute the Jews. The Jews had been persecuted by many other cultures and religions for centuries before the Holocaust. The Holocaust was one of the if not the worst example of murder and genocide in history. Some very influential Germans blamed the Jews for Germany losing World War I. The Germans also persecuted gypsies, the Poles (people from Poland) and others. You have to remember that during World War I, the German people were kept from knowing that they were losing the war by their leaders. When the news came that Germany had lost, the German people were shocked and they wanted someone to blame. Unfortunately their scapegoat ended up being the Jews among others. The Germans were also brainwashed into believing that the Jews were lower than dirt and they needed to be exterminated.
During World War II, some Dutch people risked their lives to help Jewish people by hiding them from the Nazis. However, not all Dutch people were willing to help, and there were collaborators who assisted in the deportation of Jewish citizens to concentration camps.
being starved and not being able to take a shower or bath. Being separated from there family. Being raped. Some times beat but usually the Germans just killed them.
