One of the main issue's was logistical problems the British had in transporting forces. Also the colonists was helped by France.

∙ 11y agoFor starters, they had the strongest navy in the world at the time. Britain also had many experienced, well-trained soldiers, no match for the Patriots militia. They had weapons that were far more advanced than the colonists and outnumbered the colonists three to one. Also, they had the support of those who remained loyal to Britain but lived in the colonies, the Loyalists.

∙ 12y agoNo, Great Britan did not win the American Revolution, that's why its called the American Revolution because America gained its independence.In 1781 the battle of Yorktown was won with help from the French Navy when it blockaded the British from leaving the port so the British had no reinforcements and had to surrender.This was the last major battle in the American Revolution.The Treaty of Paris was signed on Nov. 25,1783.

∙ 14y agoYes, they did, but they were not used on a large scale such as charging en masse to capture an objective. Because of the wooded colonial terrain, infantry and artillery predominated, and cavalry was relagated to tasks such as reconaissance and guarding the flanks of armies.
