Many times. The worst of modern times was their invasion of Manchuria (part of China) in the early 1930s where they committed many crimes against the population. Later, during World War 2, they invaded the Philippines. During what we know as the Early Modern Era in the West, they invaded Korea. They also invaded Korea during the 1905 Russo-Japanese War.

Asians who are not Koreans would include Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotians, Tibetans, Burmese, Thais, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Indians, Pakistanis, and others.
