Not only were the Inca people independent but they were on of the largest civilizations to date. and through all of societies latest advancements we can figure out how strong they were The Inca was an independent city state, where as the Maya and Aztecs weren't. They all had great technologies, but all of them had strong religions. ALSO (I only studied the Aztec and Maya): Similarities Differences -Build temples and sacrificed humans -Aztecs have very basic writing system -Both in Central America -Aztecs more into war -Believed in Gods -Aztecs didn't have money -Main staple of food is maize and corn -Mayans were academically advanced -Mayans were around longer
Both the Maya and the Inca had similar social stuctures; men and women were to be considered close to equal, though, in some instinces, women were still lesser to men. Both drained swamps and carved terraces for agriculture, which they depended on heavily, like all other ancient civilizations in the Americas. The Maya and Inca both shared a similar calender system, though, the Inca calender was a bit more complicated, and both civilizations built great stone monuments. Plus, they practiced metallurgy, sacraficial rituals, and polytheism.
Yes, all three civilizations - the Maya, the Aztecs, and the Inca - practiced slavery to some extent. The Aztecs and the Maya engaged in human sacrifices as part of religious rituals, while there is limited evidence of such practices among the Inca.
