Much of what fueled this war were the conflicting views on property ownership, religious beliefs and general lifestyle. The Native Americans were often seen as animals that were unable to conform to what the Europeans saw as their more advanced and civilized way of life. The Native Americans often saw it the other way around, that the Europeans were trashing the land and showing no respect to what we know now as the U.S.A.
