Yes the Allies did win the World War.Germany was broke and its people were starving because of the Royal Navy blockade of its ports.
There were strikes and riots in Berlin because of it.
America entered the war in 1917 and a vast influx of fresh troops became available to fight against the Germans. German politicians could see that they could not defeat the allies with the wealth, industrial power and military might of America added to the mix and signed an armistice on 11th November 1918.
The German army felt that it had been betrayed by the politicians as it had not been defeated militarily.
This feeling and extremely harsh postwar reparations required to be paid by Germany to the French, caused an economic and social breakdown in Germany which lead to Hitler coming to power and the second world war just over 20 years later.
