It depends on the weight of the car, and the surface upon which it is traveling - as well as what force is being used to stop it (IE a brakeing mechanism).
ride a bicycle OR using an appropriate motor oil, and coolant. The first is to minimise the heat from friction, the second is to remove the heat being made in the engine. I'm sure there are other ways. I'm no car expert.
