The purpose of this site is actually for people to be able to ask about things because they actually want an answer, rather than for people to post rhetorical questions for the purpose of publicizing their particular concerns, whatever they may be.
I have no doubt that legitimate complaints can be made about Mormonism (and about other religions, governments, corporations, and assorted human enterprises and beliefs). I sympathize with your concerns. But this site is not really the place for you to complain. It is for asking and answering questions.
The Pope The Priest The Coucils of the Church ;-)
I dispute your premise. Mormonism (which is correctly called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) is built on a foundation of restoring original Christianity. If you believe Christianity to be a lie, then you would doubtless have difficulty with the LDS faith. But you are correct in observing that Mormonism requires intense caring for one another. That is, after all, the most important of Christ's teachings, and the foundation of Christianity.
The main religion in Denmark is Christianity, specifically the Evangelical Lutheran Church which is the state church. Approximately 75% of the population belongs to this church.
Christianity is the main religion, but they also practice Roman Catholicism, Congregationalist Protestantism, Baha'i, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Mormonism (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints).
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) believe that Jesus Christ is the founder of their faith. They believe that the Church is a literal restoration of the New Testament Chrisitan Church, and that Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith, Jr. on several occassions to restore true Christianity and the authority to preach it. Because of this, Joseph Smith is sometimes called the 'founder' of Mormonism. You can learn more about this topic at the "Related Links" below.
People of any religious denomination or belief can convert to Mormonism (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) if they want. The church is it's own denomination.
a church is the house of Christianity a church is the house of Christianity
The term "Mormonism" is a misnomer and really should not apply. Members of the LDS church are properly referred to as "Latter Day Saints" not "Mormons" Joseph Smith was the first prophet of the present dispensation of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, but it is the Same Gospel that was taught by Jesus Christ when he was on the earth and it is the Same Gospel that was taught to Adam and Eve our first parents. It is the Church of Jesus Christ, established and presided over by Jesus Christ.
Magisterium is the teaching authority of the Church.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka "Mormonism"
Catholicism is the practice of someone who belongs to the Catholic Church, which is part of, or which believes in and professes, Christianity. So, there is no distinction, though there are some Christians who are not Catholic, all Catholics are Christian.
Mormonism is more accurately described as a religious movement, as there are several different denominations, sects, and churches which would claim to be "Mormon" or part of the Mormonism movement. These churches all claim to be the proper continuation or authorized reorganization of the church established by Joseph Smith in 1830.The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or LDS) is commonly called the "Mormon church" and is what most people think of when they hear the word Mormon. The LDS church is considered a denomination, as it is an organization of about 30,000 congregations worldwide. The LDS church is the largest denomination in the Mormonism movement.
