Why? I mean, I guess you could if you really needed to, but you can buy a case of fluid from pretty much any drug store, convenience store, or grocery store. I would recommend using the fluid that is made for it rather than anything else. If you can't find it at the store, ask someone who works there if they have it.
However you do have to be 18 at many places to buy it, so I hope that's not a problem...
Well, you can add a little bit, since Charcoal lighter fluid is mainly kerosene, or a light form of kerosene. In winter, diesel fuel is actually cut with kerosene as an additive to prevent clouding . It lowers the solidification of the diesel fuel. So its probably OK to add a bit,.....maybe a quart or so to the older diesel engines. ITs probably OK for even newer diesels as long as its a quart or less. Do not run 100% lighter fluid in a diesel engine. There is no lubricity, and the cetane is not adequate.
Naptha .
yes it can, I run my fluid through a centrifuge to clean it
About 7 pounds (it's lighter than water).
Zippo lighter fluid. But any good naptha based fluid will work well.
Who cares? Ronsonal works just as well in a Zippo lighter as Zippo fuel does.
No damage it just will not run on diesel fuel. Drain the tank, flush the fuel lines, replace the fuel filter and fill it up with fresh gasoline. Use starter fluid to get it going.
One time, I torched my sword with lighter fluid. My friend, Josh Greminger, was taping it. He was covered with stains. So pretty much you should torch your sword with lighter fluid.
A small amount of hydraulic oil mixed with a full tank of diesel fuel, nothing.
Are we talking diesel fuel? #1 is lighter and often called winter diesel. #2 will gel up faster when it get really cold like -25 Celsius which is about -15 Fahrenheit.
Lighter Fluid
Yes , as is Zippo lighter fluid .
