Catholics believe that the priest, acting in the person of Christ, actually changes the bread and wine, whole and entire, into the Body and Blood of Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ. After this change, called Transubstantiation, nothing of the bread and wine remains but their outward accidents. Anglicans are protestants, who believe any number of things, some of which might look like the Catholic belief, but they do not have a valid priesthood.

∙ 13y agoGiven that the Anglican Church, historically, is a Catholic Communion of Believers within the Body of Christ, her Sacraments are of the Catholic Church! In other words there is no difference!
How-and-ever, we have to realise that in theological terms that the Church of England is, since 1994, no longer a traditional Anglican Church having abandoned Holy Tradition and the teaching of the Councils. In my opinion she is a Neo [New ]Anglican Church! Anglicans are to be sought in the Continuing Churches of the Declaration of S.Louis.
